Love this shot. I like how it's exposed for the water and makes the boy almost an anonymous (sp?) kid just having fun. The kick of the foot, the shadow/reflection on the ground - all just perfect.

This is an awesome shot. If you want to avoid getting a shadow of you in the eyes then you need to put a light source between you and your subject. Judging from the reflection this is a natural light situation. I would suggest getting a flash and mount it off camera on a stand with an umbrella. This will give you a nice catch light in the eyes without anything else. It is a very nice image and I think highly underrated IMO. Hope the suggestion helps.
