Hmm. Compositionally, this is a good photo, but for me, it just doesn't catch my eye. That is just me though. I do like the colors though. Maybe if you only had one lamp that almost completely filled the frame, with a black background.

Gee, I am not an American, and I have a vague understandig of what Ohio is (A state, right? And apparently a university, that probably has a sportsteam nicknamed Bobcats). The point is, the picture does not evoke any emotions with me. All I see is three people on a couch, wearing similar clothes, probably fanwear, and looking slightly uncomfortable. The lighting is quite harsh, the picture is not very sharp and the woman's eyes look like you've corrected for red eyes in PP (either that, or she's on something). All in all, I see a group portrait, but not a very good one. (4)

I like the colour selection for the sweaters and the placement of the people in the photo(green,pink and green) but maybe outside on the grass with some trees would have helped this score better here.
