Bonfire Shadows

The photo gives me a sense of mystery and eerieness to it. The shadows and the way they create the diagonals going into to the frame give alot of depth to this photo.

The lighting from the fire makes this shot really neat. The colors of red, yellow, and orange almost seem to come alive through the shadowing the trees have created. I think the exposure is really good for th lighting used, There are a few spots closest to the fire where its a bit overbright.

Overall I think its a really cool and spooky image I probably would have given it a 7 if I had seen it in the challenge.

Ooh... love the texture in the skin and the low key lighting. Ideally I think I'd like just a little more whiteness in the eyes. Is the shirt oversharpened or is that just the shirt? The white dots in the shirt on one hand add to the texture but I think overall they distract from the face.

The composition is good. The highlights are too strong. I think it needs backlighting to provide some outline for the subject.

Nice title and focus on the face but you could have focused a little more on the glasses because your eyes aren't really drawn to them at first.
