A Contented Smile by signal2noiseComment by Eyesup: jusst looking at your choice of lens and wondering why you chose such a long focal lenght? regardless though the shot is quite nice, there is a small shaft of light right abot her that is a little distracting but the DOF mitigates that quite nicely (as well as the grass or something that if not for the DoF would be clearly sprouting from her head). not sure I like the placement of the has as it seems to be coming out from no where... maybe if the rest of the arm had be left in frame...
otherwise it's a pleasing enough photo to look at... nice work. |

Inverted Eye by signal2noiseComment by Eyesup: I would have voted this quite high if it had been in the negative challenge... I love the lines and the way the pods in negative look etheral...bit it also looks natural not out of place or like it shouldn't be... the cropping I feel is a bit off mostly because more of the bottom of the wheel is cut off than the bottom, but other than that... great shot. |

Emma's Smileby signal2noiseComment by Melethia: The light from above to create an anchoring shadow makes this work much better than just a shot against flat white. Very good use of light, great pose from your model, and good name for a pet! :-) |

Smog and Fog of San Franciscoby signal2noiseComment by Melethia: The success of this is not just the photograph itself, but the experimentation you did to capture what you saw. The softness and "haziness" is perfect for what you were trying to depict, and create a pleasing photo as well. |
