Greetings from the Critique Club.
Hello Dave, I̢۪m Alan.

As we can see by your score, and that red thing attached to this photo, it was well received, and the placement, well deserved. The question, could it have been better, maybe a blue. In my opinion the only thing I see that could be a issue is your rocks are a bit soft. Some fixes could include detail enhancement, like Topaz Detail, somewhat in question by SC in basic, and I advise pre-review 2-3 days in advance of submission. Another option that is legal in Basic is Adamus sharpening, a process where first the image is resized twice the final image size (DPC it̢۪s 800 times 2= 1600) sharpen 2-3 times to a point just over sharpened, then resize to finished size of 800 (widest) and save for the web. It works, without creating halos.
Congrats on the ribbon.
Alan

I like the composition, and the overall feeling of the photo. It feels a little like the whole photo is out of focus though except for a very small part of the plant in the foreground, not sure if that was your intent for making a "soft" photo but, I wish there were more.

Great use of soft focus to add a sense of nostalgia to this picture. It really gives a sense of the serenity and peace the artist must feel from playing his flute. With the shot coming from behind the front hedge in the foreground, it seems to give a sense that we are peeking in on a private moment.
