It appears to be a fungi which is like a shroom. So, you've resorted to capturing images in your compost pile, hehe. I'm glad to see someone is still composting! We used to call it the compost heap, same difference. If more of us did this we wouldn't need all those landfills. I assume you're a gardener and will soon be tilling the soil and adding the compost as a fertilizer. I hope you plant lots of veggies! ;-)

Very nice processing! I agree with others that the processing is an improvement on the original. Love the feel and mood this captures - feels like a scene out of one of Charles Dickens novels. The scene has very much an old time Victorian feel to it. Love the splashes of reds & pinks that liven up the dark tones that are primarily throughout the image. This would make a good print and/or holiday card.

Love the texture you added to the wall in the composition for it gives it an old style european 'feel'. Love that splash of bold red color that stands out from the darker hues. The best thing about this capture is the determined expression of the girl to hit all the right notes on her instrument. Great capture of a mood & moment.
