I think the idea of the challenge was to add something in the foreground as a bokeh effect that would add to the picture, unfortunately for me the main picture element is not very interesting, and the foreground adds nothing to it.

Generally DPC voters don't care much for stuffed toy shots (I know, I tried!) but they are a good way to learn composition, lighting, etc. The lighting here is pretty even, but for this shot to really work, you need to have crisp focus on both the papa and the baby. Focus seems to be a bit more on the baby in this case. A less patterned background would put more focus on the subjects, too.

I think a tighter crop and a bit sharper focus would have really made this shot. As it is, all teh extra "non-popcorned" space and the wall outlet are a bit distracting.

Would've preferred a tighter crop on the bottom, and a looser crop on the left. I find the outlet to be a distraction. Focus seems a little soft, but nice contrast.

My eye is immediately drawn to the outlet cover. This is a good shot, but moving your shot to get a better background would have helped quite a bit. Also being aware of what the reflection on the pot will do is very important. Still a very nice shot.
