The technical aspects of this image are well done (exposure, focus, selective desaturation). The image has very little emotional content imho and probably not score very well.

Trying to leave some more in depth comments on random photos, so here goes...

The first thing I noticed about this shot was the star shape reflections at the corners of the laser lights. I like how they seem to get bigger as they go up. I also like the slight blue cast of the second light coming from the top. Suggestions for improvement? Maybe light the back edges a bit more or crop in tighter? Nicely done!

What I like: Almost looks like an escalator, original idea.

What I think might help it: Perhaps positioning the light higher so that all of the staples have some light on the top?

If you hadn't put staples in your title, I would have thought this was part of an escalator. Great lighting and definitely one of my favorites in this challenge.
