The DOF on the branches around it are nice. Not sure the trunk itself hold enough impact as the centerpiece. I find myself wanting something to be there that isn't.

Hmmm, this one looks like it was tricky and maybe the time of day wasn't on your side. I wonder if B&W isn't a good option for this one? It almost looks like the bottom half is already there.

Welcome! Stress not, you're among friends! Very nice image- lovely colours, and just that last second hint of pink at sunset! and nice tree- like the little bobbles on the branches, and water light and dark areas ofset the tree nicely.

PAW - Nice texture on the tree. Is it an oak? Very sharp trunk, good DOF and bokeh in the background. Good realistic color balance. That is a long exposure for a low f-stop and it looks pretty light out. Were you using ND or CPL filters?

PAW - I agree that week one was much better IMHO, and you set the bar very high for the year. Maybe bumping up saturation, sharpness and contrast would have given this more punch.
