Processing is a bit off here especially with the haloing around the silo and uneven burning in the sky around the trees. Composition is a bit two dimensional as well. I'd be curious to see what this would look like if the buildings were shot at an oblique.

I like the lines and the way I want to keep looking at it to see what it is. Good detail and contrast. Maybe without the black bars top and bottom, though? At first they look like part of the picture but now that I look more closely I think they're added...?

Fascinating subject -- like tph1, I always wondered why people use these. (I did see a funeral once, from a distance, where one was used, and frankly I found it a wee bit creepy.) Nicely captured and treated too -- appropriately dark and somber.

I always wondered about these things. What is the purpose? One final nod to arrogance and superiority? They seem so wasteful to me. Good, stark shot that arouses questions.

A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.
