DAVID-BLAINE-002.jpgby jblaylockraynerComment by cheekymunky: I've seen "interviews" with him, and he seems a bit difficult to get on with to say the least, so to survive a whole day with him you did well! I love the shot as well, great as a black and white, and although he is relatively small in the frame, he is instantly recognisable and the situation compliments his persona perfectly. |

DAVID-BLAINE-002.jpgby jblaylockraynerComment by Blue Moon: haha! you almost killed David Blaine! Good job, he looks quite aggitated, but at least you got him to do something kinda cool. Now, why isn't he floating instead of hanging? HMMM????? |

JACK-OSBOURNE-001.jpgby jblaylockraynerComment by DjFenzl: I like this picture, it's cool the way he is framed by the hand however the hand is so large and dark it almost seems disconnected from him. Excellent lighting on his face. |

JEFF-WAVE-001.jpgby jblaylockraynerComment by jblaylockrayner: This is actually a self portrait I took of myself in Broadstairs, England. It was taken using fujichrome 100. I had the camera on a tripod and a self timer. This was taken quite a while ago - I remember having to try and time the waves to hit with the self timer which of course was almost impossible. This was the only frame that worked but I think it was worth the effort. |

I got half way - Do I cross again?by jblaylockraynerComment by kanaj: Very effective use of the fisheye effect (whether it was a lens or a filter I don't know). My only complaint is that the subject feels unfocused and a little blurry. I might try using a healing brush to sharpen the features of the face. It's a shame this one was submitted for the Centered Composition II challenge! |
