Mona Lisa with a Pearl Earingby raishComment by JuliBoc: This is a lovely shot of a lovely girl. I agree that the surface blur on her skin is a little too much, and since this is natural light, there wasn't much to do about the shadow while you were snapping it. You might try filter>render>lighting effects to add a bit of light to the left side of her face. Might help, might be awful, but might be worth a try. I'm sure the girl will love it the way it is. BTW, I think you got robbed on the score. |

Mona Lisa with a Pearl Earingby raishComment by kevip6: This has the potential to be a really nice portrait. I think the lighting could use a bit more balance from the right to soften the shadow from the nose and get more of a catchlight in the eye. This is relatively minor though and I think the main problem I have with this is the over processing. Too much blur of neat image on the skin gives it a very plastic look and doesn't match the still sharp eyes and mouth. Had this been toned down I think this would be very good. |

Transport of Delightby raishComment by Tammer: To me, with the woman's eyes wide open like they are it looks kind of like she's dead. Which would then in turn makes me view your image as disturbing. Hmmm, just my take on it. I do like the lines of the building in the background though. |
