A different approach to lighting a still life which isn't as effective as it might have been. The angle at which the image was taken is not the best and the subjects are just plain and uninteresting. Sometimes an image is just an image. A more interesting approach might have been to bounce light off the mirror to create some intersting halos, reflections, etc.

I am totally not getting this one, but I am sure I am not the only one whose head it went over. I'm sure there is some significance I am not understanding, but I'm afraid this photo comes off to me as a snapshot anyway. Sorry.

I wish I could share some of our Texas sun with you. Here, we hide from it. And it is a photographer's nightmare. Harsh, blazing bright even at 8:00am, shadows everywhere. But this does remind me of times when I lived in colder climates and how wonderful those early days of spring were. Its like a fresh new lease on life! Great job making even a Texan appreciate the feel of this photo.

Just before I left for Afghanistan, we had this kind of weather - people out everywhere enjoying a respite from the cold, the warmth of the sun, and just the freshness of spring air. This captures all that quite nicely.
