Dive of the Valkyriesby raishComment by Yo_Spiff: This is the second entry of this bizarre sight you have entered. Can you explain to us what it is?! Looks like a telephone wire swallowed some divers. I think it is a sculpture of some sort?
You certainly gave K-guy some great material to work from! Message edited by author 2009-05-08 00:33:11. |

Dive of the Valkyriesby raishComment by K3Master: ...and they came down from out of nowhere, on a mission to subjugate a people to their wills, put them under their dominion, make them slaves to their desire.
We never saw it coming, the attack. In every country, in every land, those lines appeared from the sky, and hit the earth in explosions of dust, cracking whatever surface they lit upon and sticking fast. We looked upon them in wonder and awe. What were they? Where did they come from? There was nothing in the sky that they could be attached to, that we could see. Nothing.
Yet from that nothing something came. Oh yes, they came, and they were evil and dreadful and full of destruction.
We never saw it coming, and we were completely overwhelmed, and it wasn't long before we were absolutely destroyed. |

Into Which We Rideby raishComment by Teafran: Noir imagery is always a favorite of this reviewer and this has a very strong noir appeal to it. A little overly dark, but it works despite the heavy hand with exposure. The vague details are very effective in conveying a sense of mystery and intrigue. A genre of image not often seen, this could be used as a good example of the noir meme. Well done. |

Work in Progressby raishComment by Teafran: A very good look at the process of construction, a little more lighting control would have moved the image from average to outstanding. The washed out and rather flat color and tones are a negative as the details on the fastener boxes and ruler being lost. A little more saturation and proper lighting would have really made this image pop and give it some wow factor. A very good set piece marred by a few minor technical issues. |
