The Flipby cutlassdude70Comment by Skip: ok, it looks like you guys were out having a good time. this looks like a great place to shoot, and i hope ya'll will keep going back and shoot some more.
this meets the challenge from a stop motion standpoint, but, as you've shot it, it's hard to tell what's going on. your subject is just too far away. try finding a place to shoot where you can get in tight, and focus in on your subject so that there's not a lot of clutter in the image that doesn't add to the image. |

The Flipby cutlassdude70Comment by glad2badad: Yikes! Took me a sec to see the skates! This is clean, interesting, well lit and focused. Should do ok with this entry. Almost looks like the person flipping is on the spiked wall. Best of luck in the challenge. |

The Flipby cutlassdude70Comment by redmoon: this would be more striking if i hadn't come across the other one that looks like it was taken in the same place first (i'm surprised he isn't in the shot - must have been just in front of you!)... the same criticism i had of that one applies here; the background is too messy and cluttered and detracts from the overall shot. a liberally application of the burn and blur tools might have reduced the impact of the background a bit. i would certinaly have cropped of the left portion of the picture, say half to an inch away from the flying persons head. i like the lad watching on the bike, gives something extra to the overall composition and life of the picture... 5. |

Jalapeno Popperby cutlassdude70Comment by scarbrd: ---Greetings from the Critique Club!---
I think I've critiqued one of yours already!
First impression - good idea, but looks over processed.
I like the idea of giving the viewer something to contemplate besides just color on color. Good job there.
The reflections on the jalepeno are a bit distracting. The halo around the pepper gives it that over processed look IMO.
The composition is great. The eye first goes to the pepper then up and over via the fuse to the fire. Nicely done.
The top of the fuse loses focus a bit. This probably cost you some points with the voters. The neon green border probably cost you a point or 2 as well.
Anytime you get a 6+ here you've done well. Extra points from me for creativity.
I hope this was helpful. Please contact me if you have any questions.
