And hello again! I will probably keep this one pretty short. First of all almost isnt quite good enough in DPC most of the time. Voters were probably really lokoing for images that were truely symmetrical. If you had found another flower that was but in this same context you would have scored much better.

Outside of the challenge description you have a nice image of a flower here. Good detail and DOF, really good color on the flower and a decent background that doesnt take anythign away from it. Are those spider legs I see coming out of the fold on the petal? NOt a wow pic but really nothign bad about it either which I think helped you out in the voting.

And like I am sure I said before - you do really nice work. Keep that up and you will continue to score well. But the next symmetrical challenge submit an image that is and isn't almost. ;) Hang in there!

I love the sky!! very brooding and just plain cool!! Not that I'm one to talk but I think the sepia might be a little heavy in this, having said that I LOVE sepia and I think it works well here, I like the placement of the large rock and the over all feeling of the shot. Great capture!!

I like this, the composition is strong, from the diagonals, to the rock sort of anchoring the shot, to the dramatic sky. Nicely done. As for the toning, the the water itself looks almost muddy, and I'm not sure that's the look you were going for. The sky and the shore look great, but the water is a bit too brown for my tastes.
