This headscarves thing has gone too far. Your lighting isn't working, and the shadows framing the eyes are not flattering, at the same time that the reflectiveness of the golden cloth detracts from other elements of the image.

I rather like the juxtaposition with the everyday, normal, "plain" buildings to the out of this world vivid sky. It doesn't come across as too faked, but kind of extraordinary, like somewhere, sometime, the sky might just get bored of itself and explode orange all over the place.

For desolation, this doesn't really work for me, but as a stand alone image, I think it's pretty neat. The focus and angle are both good, and overall it is well thought out and composed. Good work.
