Alright, back to the picture at hand... this photo is lovely... I like the way we almost have to guess what you are wearing :P It has good lines and good focus. The hand in the back balances the photograph nicely too... forgive the long-windedness *I have not yet had coffee* ;)

Yes, this would have been great in portrait orientation. And you just need to dodge (or burn, I can never remember which) to bring out the detail of his eyes.
