Some times you feel like a nut :Pby Jaded_HousewifeComment by TCGuru: My first thought was that you looked like that teacher I had in 8th grade... then, when I opened it and saw the full expression, I DIED laughing (seriously, I am a ghost now... typing this) and thought, wouldn't my teacher have looked funny making that face? hahahahaaa Seriously, this is too cute! The lighting is REALLY good too :) |

Portrait of a Victorian Angelby Jaded_HousewifeComment by Jaded_Housewife: Originally posted by Krisby: hihi.. I love this.. it's so.. well just lovely. I was thinking if you could tell us what kind of lighting you did in this shot? I love the effect it dose |
sure. it was a dark room with just one soft box on. it was off to her side and slightly in front of her. I don't exactly know how to explain that. say if your looking at a clock(as the photogrpaher) she was at 12:00 and the softbox was standing at 8:00 o clock bout 5 feet away from her, facing torwards her of course. some of the drama was added in post processing. but the light set up was very basic. I tend to like using just one softbox for many of my shots.
Hope that helps. |

Portrait of a Victorian Angelby Jaded_HousewifeComment by scaramanga: Wow, great shot! Your really know how to use your kids as models. I like the fact that you don't "just" take shots of them - your photos always have so much depth that go far beyond the "oh, isn't she/he cute?" - level. This shot is well forethought, all parts fit quite well! |
