I gave this a 5. I know how difficult it is to photograph crepe myrtles - a tripod is likely the only way unless you get very good lighting as well. The color seems true to me and not oversaturated, although the line is very thin on in-camera color reproduction. The tips given by Dr Achoo are very helpful there. Again, difficult to photograph the color with these flowers. If this were sharper and a variation in composition to give more overall balance and allow for a better 'study' of this beautiful flower, make this even better in my opinion.edit:typo

Check your in-camera settings. Although this is straight out of the camera I find that reds (and pinks) saturate very, very quickly on the Canon sensor. If you shoot JPG and have the saturation boosted at all in camera it is even more of a problem. I lost a whole day of shooting tulips in April because of it.

Your composition is nicely done with the off-centered subject and the virtual leading line of the flowers.

Now the reality is (and you know this as well as I do) that an unprocessed picture is not going to be able to stand up to a processed one. Especially in a constricting challenge where all the shots are of one subject.

i love the colors and smoothness of this. i think the one issue i have (personally) is that there's no clear subject. the two front signs really compete with one another... i know you'd be cropping off your main subject, but if you did a square crop and took off everything from the right of the roof, i think you have more of a focal point and it creates a cool graphic image with a clear focus. :)

ps you've got some great stuff in your portfolio!

You succeeded in making this a creepy photo. Looks like it could be the cover of a video game box or something like that.

Crop down from the top some, there seems to be to much up there and takes your eye right to that instead of subject, still very nicely done, cropping down also matches how much is in the reflection above the roof

Nice reflection and subject matter though the well or whatever it is on the left seems out of place in the shot (nothing you could have done about that). Nice job.
