I love the processing. This is a look I often find myself producing as well, and I think it makes for great bw shots. How well it works with this particular subject, I'm not so sure of. On the one hand it creates a mental tug of war between the cute/innocent subject and the morose/gloomy environment made by the processing. I like that. On the other hand it could be interpreted as a poor match between processing and subject. Will be interesting to see how it resonates with other people.

This is nice; the tones and focus give it a really nostalgic look, like it was shot on film in the 1950s or 1960s. Very nice effect, and excellent composition and subject.
