Composition: Well the main subject appears to be the plug and my eyes are drawn to the banana, but what bothers me is your background. The two vertical lines towards the right side looks to me like you took this shot on your toilet seat. The reflection on the surface is a nice touch.

Technical: The lighting and focus is good but I wish there was a little more depth of field making the ends of the banana in focus.

Overall: I think one main reason why you placed so low was because it was a black and white shot in a yellow challenge. I know this shot makes the viewer "think" yellow but most of the DPC voters here want to "see" yellow.

Looks like you suffered for not having yellow in the photo. As others suggested, perhaps if you just stuck the cord into the banana, instead of wrapping it in foil, would have helped... Even if it was still in black and white.

It looks like "brown spots" would have scored better than "foil".

what?! I was thinkning of doing a black and white as well. Thats really a banana in the foil. I would have liked it more if there was something I clearly would identify as yellow but lacking in saturation. Still, I like the shot.

A really fine idea to have a B/W photo for a colored theme. The clever idea is that the yellow object is covered up, yet the focus of the photo seems to be the plug, center and left.

It's a techinically good picture, but it's lack of obvious yellow means I have scored it lower. I think you might have got away with it you hadn't disgused the bannana quite so well.

Cute title! I am sorry, but I'm gonna get restrictive with you. I need to see the color yellow for this challenge. The handle and some of the foil is nicely in focus. Framing is a little tight on the left. I will give you a point for bravery, to submit a black and white shot to represent a color, but that's it. total 4. Swash

Well I don't see any yellow here, but I guess if it were in color you wouldn't see any yellow either as the banana is all wrapped up. It's funny anyway :-)
