Ack, it's way to underexposed. Should have used Levels and the little "eye-dropper" thing to tweak the white level (brighten it).

The array of midtones is much too poor to bear any resemblence with Adams' work. could use some work in "levels" (if you use photoshop)

If Ansel shot this the DOF would have been much greater. The colors are kind of dreary, even for B&W. Maybe it needs a little more contrast

Very interesting photograph but quite dark. If you could bump up the ocntrast a little it would be better. Everything seems to just blend together. How did you get this close to the Elk?

Where's the despair? Someone's dead, sure, but their tombstone doesn't communicate despair. Just kind of a sad story. Effective presentation of the tombstone, nonetheless.
