"Titania, Moon of Uranus... We have Landed"by tfarrell23Comment by AlexMonty: I like this stark landscape, dramatic and other wordly it most certainly is. I think you'll get a lot of people claming that this did not meet the challenge, but I figure any strange, dramatic landscape fits.
Perhaps try pushing up the contrast with this, or desaturating using the channel mixer instead of the 'normal way'.
As it is the shot is a little unstriking and bland (but not too much) - a 7 from me.

"Desperation"by tfarrell23Comment by yeoua: It looks like you just used desaturation to cause a black/white. I found that in my own entry that it is a horrible way of getting b/w in dimly lit pictures due to low contrast. Try twiddling with the color channels instead. In my case, I isolated only the green channel and set that to b/w and it looked strikingly better. In Photoshop you can do this by using the Channel Mixer and setting green to 100% and the rest to 0% on all color channels. |
