Comment by EL-ROI:
The lighting is harsh on the ball. No detail exists at the hot spot. It may work if you were going for something out of a nightmare scene or something. THe subject is good for the challenge though the red laces are overrun by white pixels due to apparent oversharpening.

Comment by bassbone:
love the textures in the grasses and rocks - but the colors are a bit oversaturated and the sky seems artificially smoothed

Beautiful scenery and sky. A little frontal bokeh would've been nice for me. Great colours.

Comment by Funky-Plum:
Whilst the subject isn't very interesting, the photo makes it interesting (seems to be what the challenge is asking for). Obviously a photo taken by somebody that knows how light works and how to use their camera. The depth of field is very pleasing. The texture of the locks metal is beautifully captured and then contrasted by the smooth and shiney keys. The yellowy gold of the lock works really well with the orangey red of the floor. Great contrast and levels too.

Comment by Ammie:
Firstly I don't like this border. I am not from the border police and I'm not fanatic about them but this doesn't work for me. Then, the HDR is maybe a bit too high and does little to enhance this, although not stunning, it matches the challenge
