I think we're missing a lot, because of the blown half of the picture. It looks like it might be a pretty fantastic shot if the brightness were cut back so we coud see some of the details of the fireworks.

It is just a bit bright for me. It captures the effect that I am sure you were after, but the telephone lines are distracting.

why black and white? because the overexposure made the fireworks go all the way to white is my guess - I find the light poles and the silo of the street sign distracting - could have been easily cropped out - but the huge overexposure and the black and white when I know there was spectacular color if I was there really hurt this for me. 3
