I agree that "candid" doesn't have to be a person picture but this has a lot of technical flaws. the colour cast is distracting, the background doesn't contribute to the composition and the vignetting could easily be fixed with a little bit of croping.

Blurry around the snails. The colours seem way too red/orange. I think that your lightsource was orangy and so if you had used white balance you would have got better colours.

First Impression:
Neat! I have no idea what it is. My eyes keep getting drawn to the green void

Composition:
Mask has interesting texture. Green mouth area is flat and too centered. Strands are distracting. The green area may have been less objectionable if the lines around the mouth were clean and free of the strands.

Subject:
Definitely meets the challenge. Good eye for seeing the potential in the shot.

Technical:
DOF is shallow.
I like the lighting.
File size is a bit small. You only used 575 X 431. You could have gone to 640 X

I appreciate the helpful comments that people left. Oh, and the "dirt spot"? It's a freckle. I agree about the faucet though, that was a bad decision not to crop that out of the frame. I just don't get the "need a pedicure" comments. Just don't get them at all... Anyway, thanks again to those of you who had helpful comments.
