CRITIQUE CLUB REVIEW

Sharpness and focus: excellent. Good deep DOF.

Subject Matter: the tower is good but the blue sky doesnt complement the electric theme.

Composition: would have preferred the central point to be alittle more off center to the left.

Conclusion: All in all a very well shot, striking photo. Unique and original. A little static.

Tarbini, this is definitely a stranger in a strange land :) Cows on rooftops are defninitely not a normal sight in my neighborhood... lol.. Maybe this is an advertisement on a restaurant in your area?

I think you chose a very interesting angle to take your photo. As the viewer, I can't really see the context of the cow, but I also think that adds a bit of mystery to the scene :)

I can't really offer you any improvement suggestions on this photo that are within the legal rules of DPC. However, if you want to pursue improving this photo for your own use, I would suggest cloning out the wires on the left. I would also play around with the photoshop 'burn' tool to brighten up the roofwork in teh lower portion of the frame just a little. This would bring out the detail quite a bit :)

I think I ate here. Don't you hate people like me? Still a fantastic photo. Not everyone knows steak houses advertise this way and would be shaken up by this photo. I love how the roof shows up on the bottom and the tree right across from the cow. To me these add to this. It's a great photo deserving of a 7 or 8. PTL

Unique ange of an everyday object, very interesting to look at. Have you tried a composition with the spokes meeting at the center of the photo, with maybe a square frame? Just a suggestion for a symmetrical composition - not sure what works better without trying...

FIRST IMPRESSION:
10 all the way!

COMPOSITION:
Amazing. Love the way you used the track lines with the road on the background to create this dynamic shot :)

TECHNICAL:
Very good...would like to see one with the foreground in better focus. Natural lighting is great. :)

ARTISTIC:
Very well seen. I think the duo-tone look of it works very well. The texture of the rocks works beautifully with the 'softness' of the mountains in the background :)

OVERALL:
Very creative, very well executed shot....i'm jealous :)
