Moving at the Speed of Lightby landcameraComment by LalliSig: Sorry but this does nothing for me, just thought I should at least tell you why I gave it a 3. Just not aesthetically pleasing and it´s hard to even make out what I am looking at here, if I didn´t know this was a self portrait I would have had a hard time to make out a chin and nose there in all that, I didn´t at first and probably wouldn´t have seen it if I hadn´t know what I was looking for. |

The texture in the window frame and the chair is awesome. It is so simple yet says so much. As far as I'm concerned this photo of yours was robbed blind. No way should you have come in 99th. I would say at least in the top 6 pictures. |
I guess if I'd had a pretty womans butt in the window instead of the chair it might have made a huge difference. Thanks for the wonderful comments. We live in a complexed world therefore I imagine our photography has to be complexed. I've just a simple man that enjoys the simple things in life. The top 10 images were spectacular to say the least, and there were several I was suprised didn't get higher rankings. Message edited by author 2006-05-03 17:28:48. |

Idle Timeby landcameraComment by DefyTime: :: Critique Club ::
As far as photo quality and technically shot well there is not much wrong hereâ€Â¦as far as appeal it is lacking a bit. But after reading your comment I can see where you took this and the lack of appeal or boredom might just be what you were going for. Me looking at it and thinking how I would feel in that spotâ€Â¦but for someone in that time it probably brought much enjoyment, even when they were doing nothing. Think that has a lot to say on how fast life is now than then and why it’s hard to just sit still and enjoy idle time.

Negative To The Thirdby landcameraComment by Dr.Confuser: I'm not resonating with this one, sorry. The central placement of the subject gives this a very static feel. Nothing in the background to rescue it. I see this sight every day but there is nothing "new" or challenging or arresting in the image that makes me want to keep looking. |
