Mourningby perotyComment by dallasdux: The image is just too bright for my tastes. Certainly is using light (per challenge) but the bookcase is blown out along with some highlights of the door. |

Morning Breaksby perotyComment by digitalknight: the blown lights in this are quite distracting. a solution I've found is waiting another 10 - 15 minutes from the lighting in this photo gives more light to the sky, and balances the exposure so you don't need such a long time - and then the lights don't burn in like this.
The balanced light tends to give more color to the sky too. I shoot a lot of architectural lighting and found this to be the case.
I always leave helpful tips like this to find later that I've given a tip to a photographer who is MUCH better than I. Sorry if I've done that again - just trying to be helpful! :-) |

Mourningby perotyComment by sandeep_tata: I'm sorry - I just couldnt understand the picture - there's a lot of light, and a shelf on one side, and an open door on the other ? |

Day 2.jpgby perotyComment by freakin_hilarious: That is certainly one cute little guy! I'm a huge fan of really shallow DOF myself, but I think in this case it would be nice for his nose to be in focus as well. Of couse, I could be a dolt and he was just moving. If so, ignore me please! |
