Not sure what I'm looking at? My guess is the bottom of a shot glass.

Not quite sure what this is or where the refraction involved is. I'd also like it if it was sharper and without the specs and bright spots of light.

Oh, this was yours? Cute shot, not sure why you liquified the little person but I love the idea. Any chance we could see the original?

A Ball Python! We used to have one here, his name was Baby, he was the sweetest thing. Won my daughter a first prize in a Science Fair! ;) Very nice colors, snakes can be very had to shoot in that they don't like to pose and sit still all the time. If this is your snake may I recommend getting a large table, some rocks or other props and let him choose the poses. :)

This is a very cool shot. I love the way these snakes rest on the branches. To bad you couldn't have gotten the other side and his head but overall very nice colors.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I love bridge shots. I love bridges, if you look in my portfolio you will see that, LOL :)

The water in this picture is perfect, the flow, the lines, all very crisp and clean. But as said in an earlier comment, that is about all that is really interesting about the shot. What can be done to make it better? Well, different crop might help, just taking my screen up a bit and removing the top part of the bridge makes a tremendous difference in this shot. It puts more focus on the water and less on the bridge, which in this shot is competing with the water for my attention.

Also the post processing can made a big difference in the shot as well. The lighting is very hard on this and while I see you did an auto levels and curves, don't be afraid to go in and explore the other actions available. This might work very well in b&W or duotone, taking a minus form the color shot and adding it in a plus in another version. If you do try that I would love to see the results.

I hope my comments help and I love your butterfly shots as well. They are very pretty!

Good luck in future challenges.

This has great potential but I think the lighting is hurting this image. I'd love it if there were more lights and darks.
