I like this shot. Simple, lots of emotion. I think the crop/composition and the noise kept if from scoring well. The missing portions of the tires, particularly the front, are akin to a portrait of a human cropped at a joint ;)

Here is a version with noise reduction and unsharp mask. In hindsight oversharpened it, given the image size, but you get the idea!

Maybe these are my eyes, but it looks like his hair is in focus. Try to focus on human eyes. He is such a lovely model. The dappled light is significant element of the composition.
