Glowby UrfaKComment by Cory: I like the feel of this photo. The texture of the wall is a very nice contrast to the smooth ladder. |

Boatrideby UrfaKComment by Cory: Nice lake shot... Looks beautiful-- It does seem that there is a tree growing in the middle of the lake.. Odd, big seasonal fluctuation here? |

Land of Fairiesby UrfaKComment by Cory: Very beautiful image. I like the leading line effect of the shoreline. You've also done a good job with the rule of thirds here. |

Observationby UrfaKComment by Cory: Too right... It is a very random image since I don't know the context... Neat though! |

eunuch-isms by UrfaKComment by UrfaK: Originally posted by LevT: very interesting scene, and I understand that you wanted to call our attention to these "drag queens of the East," but I honestly don't think selective desat was the right decision (it very rarely is, IMO). The whole scene becomes fake, and the background becomes a theatre stage set of sorts. I think you should have left it in color and trust the viewer to find out what the scene is about. Let your subjects be immersed in the street life, don't yank them out! Or, if you really want them to stand out, make the rest of the scene slightly less saturated, but only barely so. Of course this is only my opinion, you should do what you like :). |
You know what, I was doing a colour version today ;).. I wanted to improve my editing and I actually left the colour in this time around. I've been trying to upload that version over this one but dpc isn't listening.. I guess Ill have to upload a separate pic instead.
