Ethan, Dirty Face and Allby smellyfish1002Comment by Artyste: His eyes! They just pull you right in. The contrast you've used in this shot is also very "retro" like.. it's almost as if I'm gazing at a boy of the 50's. Almost everything about this photograph is simply gorgeous. Only issues I have are the horizontal lines on the background, which distract a touch, and I think the head was cropped a little *too* close. |

Garden of the Godsby smellyfish1002Comment by smellyfish1002: Originally posted by magicshutter: try doing something original next time. check my portfolio for nearly the same shot, only yours is verticle. You even named it the same. Is this some sort of personal attack on my photo? I have requested you be disqualified. |
Dude, you need to learn to play nice with the other kids...
Thousands of people photograph this every year. Due to the time of day and where the light was, I had to go to the NW side to get a shot. I have no idea who you are, and I've never looked at you gallery. And believe it or not, my title (and apparently yours, too) is not very creative or original. Settle down and have fun. You may not realize it, but there are lots of people besides yourself who have taken photos at Garden of the Gods! |

Garden of the Godsby smellyfish1002Comment by blemt: *sniffle* I'm getting all homesick. :) I've shot from this location before, and like the angle. I personally prefer shooting from closer to Kissing Camels shooting south (East side) I like the fade away effect you get as the rocks fade into the distance. It's nice to see the green. :) |

Garden of the Godsby smellyfish1002Comment by e301: I find the light a touch harsh here - seems very high contrast, very stark. But it's a suitable scene, certainly. Iwas going to say i thought there was too much sky, but I guess I can see the point of that movement to deep blue. |
