Comment by Toddh:
unusual image, I quite like it...... certainly a different perspective..... good tonal range.... though may be a little blown out on the cheek and the forehead..... good luck, Todd.

Very unusual and very interesting. I don't usually care for up the nostril shots, but I kind of like this one. Lots of texture in the lips, I think this photo is very well done. I like the sepia, although you could have made it just slightly less brown. Nicely done photo, with a different angle on what could have been a very plain subject. -8-

LOL, that is bizzare. :D Great shot however, nice focus on the upper lip. But there's to much red in the tone I think.

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Smellyfish...

This is a beautiful scene... the composition is also excellent...

The text on this postcard seems to 'blend' just a little too much with the colors in the image. My personal preference in a situation like this would be to make that text stand out just a bit more if possible...

As for the photo, I think it's pretty good, but it just feels a tiny bit flat in the color/tonal ranges. I'm not sure if a level adjustment or a minor saturation bump would help this, but it would be worth a try. I would also make an attempt to sharpen the image just a tad also.

Excellent shot...

This is sort of an "other people's art" picture, but I feel it goes somewhat beyond that with the lighting. It almost looks like a painting. Nice work.

Absolutely lovely! Way to capture this piece and its mood -- ligthing, composition, everything is beautiful. Subject may be controversial if taken to be a religious representation, but I just love it. appropriate for mother's day, too!

The way you lighted the glass object is very good. It gives the photo the exact atmospere it should have.
