June 05by talikfComment by Tej: Beautiful capture. I don't think the boy is the main subject but its his eyes which are the story teller. Looking at them makes me imagine of what could be going in his head. I love the photos that leave some part on viewers imagination and this one certainly does :) Its a very well captured candid.
On technicals - a little bit of dodge and burn to highlight the eyes and let them draw the focus will add an extra punch (IMO).
Your portfolio is amazing. Looking forward to seeing more work from you on DPC and learning from it. |

Nataliaby talikfComment by LalliSig: Well since you specifially asked what I thought you can do to improve this there is not really anything I can say, maybe another backround but black, the lighting is very natural here and I can just see this with a barn or something out of focus in the backround. Love the eyes, this is nice work! One other thing, did you use a wider lens than 50mm? If so, I would suggest you backing off and using a 50mm or longer lens next time, if you want to know why PM me :) |

Bored...by talikfComment by Tej: WOW! If I use any more words I will be diluting what I want to express :) This is the best photo in your portfolio and best "people" picture I have seen recently. Muted colors and blur works perfect. The way subject fills the frame is in perfect proportion to negative space in photo. This has everything to make it on any model calendar. Adding to favs.
