The Flying Tigerby hahn23Comment by Cyrilda: I hear owls very close to my house, how did you find this beautiful creature. I don't know if he or she travels further south for the winter but I've heard it very close to my house. I saw one in a tree next to my house a couple of years ago but not since then. I think it was a Barred owl. What is the one in your photo? Oh and BTW our sky's are very blue here in the Ouachita Mountain range. I love the blue sky's.
Very nice shot, I'm jealous. :) Message edited by author 2017-03-13 15:56:24. |

Humbled, Rejected ... the anguish of his lonelinessby hahn23Comment by vawendy: Such an incredibly beautiful shot, but it just doesn't say battle of the sexes to me. Perhaps it's my lack of knowledge, but usually the males stay separated from the females for most of the year. So to me, it just seems like a normal shot that you'd find vs one that tells the story. Or the story is human emotions put onto an animal that doesn't fit the story, in my mind... sorry |

The Flying Tigerby hahn23Comment by glad2badad: I'm delighted to read that this was a natural capture (I know pretty much most of your shots are - but didn't know who the photog was until after results). Frankly, I'm a bit jealous. Would LOVE to be able to find, let alone get close enough, to capture a decent owl photo. It's on my bucket list. |

The Flying Tigerby hahn23Comment by hahn23: Originally posted by JakeKurdsjuk: Your blues got oversaturated during the structuring of the background, OOF areas. Striking bird and the detail there is wonderful, but you need to pull back the details in the areas you don't want them. |
My sky is quite blue. I'm sorry you do not live in a place with a blue sky. In your area, it's likely air pollution or humidity causing dispersion of light rays. Maybe you should travel more. |
