This reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents would pack us all up (7 children) and go camping to Jasper, Alberta. My dad would always try to find us some sheep to watch, and he was usually pretty successful. This brings back fond memories! As far as the sign is concerned, I'm just enjoying the rest of the image so much I almost wish it weren't there - and therein lies the challenge. Hope that makes some sense. Still, I'm giving this a 7.

Hard to know how to judge this one. The photo is gorgeous! But...the little bit of blue in the sky doesn't speak to me as a burst of color that is offsetting anything. So I have judge the photo in the context of the challenge but I think I will only deduct a point cause I love the photo so much. Maybe I should focus more on the challenge category but nahhh. I love this.

Not buying it for the challenge - the blue is not intense enough, and blends with the rest of the shot rather than being an emphasis. However, this is an absolutely gorgeous photo. I especially like the big fir on the left 1/3 line as an anchor and balance to the mountain peak on the right 1/3. Wonderful motion patterns in the water, and great color on the bushes. Looks like the unspoiled wilderness, right down to no human tracks in the snow! 7
