I think this might fare better as a black and white because the brightness of the day and colors belies the feeling of real abandonment, unless that's what you're going for, in which case, please excuse me. A good sense of immediacy.

What I expected to find in this challenge was buildings treated with HDR-on-steroids topped with tumultuous skies.

This is such a serene interpretation of the challenge with accurate color and textures framed with pretty blue skies. Composition, clarity, PoV - all spot on.

I'm not voting in this challenge, but if I were, it would earn an eight from me.
