I really like the pattern that the light throws, but I think I might have preferred a different background. I think this would look really nice on a colored backdrop.

Quite novel. I find the refracted patterns so interesting that I wish the newsprint had been blank. I imagine there might be other treatments of the basic arrangement that would make the printed page add to the conposition, but I think those might involve eyeglass frames, leather book bindings, and ( not sure how to do it ) even a bit of amber fluid at the bottom of the glass.
