Nice composition but the soft focus leaves it kind of flat for me. your direct close up also makes her nose more prominate, which doesn't do justice to your subject.

IMHO and based on things I have read (I am strictly a novice) viewers want to see focused eyes. This is a bit soft but I am guessing that you wanted the look given the title of the image. Good luck.

Ya This shot was actually in focus. Somehow by the time I cropped it and submitted it, it had blurred so bad it looks out of focus. Thanks for the comments!

B&W works well here. Only problem I see is you lose your focus on the handd about the end of the thumb. I feel it should be in good focus all the way. Since the bottle is in good focus I'd think this was caused by cropping. Try zooming in closer then when you crop it will be in focus. Just a thought. It's still a good 6. PTL

That's 4 bright lights. From the thumbnail I was set to give it a 3 or 4, BUT...now it calls for more. The focus is good, the colors nice, the composition good, execution nice. What I like the most is how the light goes down into the candles a little. What I like least is hmmmmm. Nothing to really dislike. Not a 10 but a good solid 8. PTL
