Day 01 - Married too Longby shalrathComment by citymars: Tremendous opening shot for this side challenge! Nice subject, and I love the sunlit woman in the background. And thanks for the advice on using the continuous focus. I tend to turn mine off as I often focus and then reframe the subject.
Your processing is very attractive, too. I really must learn how to use layers, etc! |

At Peaceby shalrathComment by signal2noise: Wonderful placement of the model in the frame. Love the white space.
There are subtle geometries that come to light after studying this shot - a slight convex in the shape of her eyebrows becomes a bit more pronounced in her eyelashes and even moreso in the joining of her lips. This is accentuated by the incredible smoothness in her skin. These curves are offset by the concave neckline of her top. Also, length of her neck carries similar soft curves on either side. This pattern is carried through the tips of her hair.
The lighting on the skin is superb as the highlights and soft shadows blend very well and are very balanced.
Personally, I like the fact that her eyes are closed as this allows for a broader area of attention - as opposed to the eyes being a focal point. |

Dedicationby shalrathComment by JulietNN: SO very simple, yet so detailed. Amazing details to the hands and cloth, the beads you want to move them around your hand to feel the smoothness. You have captured everything so beautifully. |

Time Changes...by shalrathComment by Melethia: Nothing wrong with being happy. In fact, it's a rather nice state! That said, you created an interesting mood with this one - I really like the subtle nature of the clock. You remind me that angles are fun and I need to get my camera off of level more often. |

The Old Factoryby shalrathComment by Melethia: I have a whole folder I need to wander through, it seems. I really like this - excellent composition, tones are perfect for it. |

Time Changes...by shalrathComment by Jutilda: That dorky song "Time Passages" came to mind although your image is far from dorky. I like the tilt of it - adds to the weird sense of then, now, what-is-time-anyway feel of it. |
