Flying Highby shalrathComment by Physics_Guru: In my opinion there is just nothing 'striking' about this photo. It looks like a quick snapshot. It is a good idea but the composition is just not there. |

Flying Highby shalrathComment by DemonLlama: Whoa - couple things here. First, no real motion - it's a pretty static picture, frozen in place. Second, what's up with the halos around the person and parasail? Either it's been dodged to lighten it up or the unsharp mask way overused. Now I see that it's been validated, so it's not dodging - not sure where the halo is coming from... |

Flying Highby shalrathComment by Spitfyr: Don't like the halos around the parachute and the glider. Also, the whole image seems too blue - doesn't look natural. |

Flying Highby shalrathComment by jblaylockrayner: I'm sure most will say it but it's too blue and you can see where the work you did to dodge the shute and person is way over done causing a "Halo" effect |

Flying Highby shalrathComment by MPRPRO: This is not good. Yes it is action but no it is not a good photograph more like an over worked snapshot. Whatever you did to this image was too much. There is too much noise maybe caused by using shadow/highlight and it leaves a glow around the guy in the air.
You get an (A) for effort but remember less is more. As a good photographer once told me when you think you have adjusted it enough back up about half. |

Flying Highby shalrathComment by Blackbox: Got some halo going on around the chute and 'flyer' in the air...sky looks weird to me and cropped a little to close at the top...but it certainly meets the challenge. |

Nagoya Castleby shalrathComment by shalrath: Originally posted by Pug-H: This is a great perspective shot. It reminds me of photos by Felix Beato, who was active in Japan in the 1870s.
The original castle was destroyed during the war, but it was rebuilt in the 1950s (I think). |
You are indeed correct sir! |
