An interesting scene with the mixture of animals. I find the light rather flat uniform (as others said it's more harsh than flat, I was using that term to mean without much variation, and that is not correct usage) and the image lacking the balance of tonal values that Ansel Adams was known for. But a good subject choice for a Black and White image. I like this more coming back a second time and have bumped it.

Excellent depth of field for this image. The halo along the ridge detracts a little bit. A little burning in here would help. 8

The two in front are conspiring something, maybe a revolt?

Very good. Pretty harsh light and your shot angle i acute to the sun. I'm not sure about the compositon and portrait orientation. To me, this feels crunched and cropped too tightly from side to side. I do like the head on, over the back, view of this scene. Your control of exposure is good with little detail (if any) lost in the shadows.

Looking through the top 25% or so of the previous Ansel Adams challenge and I must say I think this is splendid. I started at 60th place and am working backwards so it's early to tell for sure, but I know I would have given this at least a 7, probably an 8. Love the light, the lines, the tonal range.

The reason I said that is because it looks like it was painted on the wall. Beautiful shot.

It certainly has the look of a piece of artwork, as in a n illustration for a book. Wonderful.

I got the blue from Posthumous

While I and some friends were walking at night; this little Indian boy was climbing up and down a wall surrounding the Dubai Museum and one of my two photographer friends suggested I shoot the silhouette. I had to set him up as his original silhouette was not so powerful. The photo is near basic editing except for the bit of the purple/pink on the top right corner I felt needed to stop the orange.

Thanks Posthumous
