Good capture. Would make a good travel poster. 8) I like the colors -- they grab your attention.

Comment by NikonJeb:
Busy title, the person detracts from what would have been an otherwise excellent shot, albeit oversaturated.

Interesting play and the shadows are nice. Maybe a different setup with the person and his shadow only. It just seems a little out of place. Other than that good, composition. I like the warm tones going on here, though, too much blue for me. Wonderful varied textures throught the frame. Fun angle.

Very nice shot, great pick of a subject. Would have liked to see the person up a bit more IMO. But great shot non the less.

Comment by Kavey:
I have searched through the challenge for those entries where the negative space is more than just a plain black or white backdrop because, whilst I think that technique often makes for some really strong and high impact images, I̢۪m particularly drawn to entries where the negative space is relevant to the subject itself and actually contributes to the impact of the picture in a contextual as well as purely compositional way.

Lovely choice of time to photograph in terms of light direction creating silhouette and nice light and shadow on the water and waves. Compositionally, I think this could be stronger without the distracting detail at the top i.e. taking the image several seconds earlier and cropping out the trees, wall and background shoreline so that he̢۪s still in the top left corner of the frame.

I like the shot minus the person and the title.
