There are just too many photographic elements that are perfect here to mention. Often though, they don't work well together for me. However, this is an overall magical image. The balance of the composition is wonderful. Congrats on the HM.

I am a nosey person ... what are the "seeds" (?) under the glass of the coffee table. I was staring at your image for a loooong time during voting, trying to figure that out :-). I know its not the point of the picture, but the table is centre stage, and I am just curious.

Once through with preliminary votes, always on the low side for me to give me room to bump, and this is standing out there all alone with a 9 that will be a 10 as soon as I finish this comment. Fits the challenge - love the glimpse of rooftops and the street below that lets me know he's up a level and he's looking down which is perfect. And I love the image quite aside from the challenge: beautiful light and subdued tones, great patterns, a wonderfully lonely feel that is nostalgic but not necessarily sad. Should be the winner, IMO.
