The Nabataeans treasury in Petraby HighNoonerComment by riversong: OMG!!! This is one place I must visit. Your image is flawless and actually better than the images from my old National Geographic featuring this place. Can you believe they carved this out of the mountainside? Spendid image. Thanks for making my day! 10 from me! |

The complexionby HighNoonerComment by Mephisto: i'd love to see more than just his face. his surroundings, his hands, an expression, his personality, a certain motion.
imo you framed this to tight (or cropped in too tight in pp) and thus took him out of context.
he sure looks like he has a lot of stories to tell, though.
eta: this comments pretty much summs up my thoughts:

The complexionby HighNoonerComment by IreneM: Wonderful portrait, you feel you could reach out and touch him. I also think it would look fabulous in b/w. Great work, Tareq. |

The complexionby HighNoonerComment by WeJay: This is superb picture. I feel it is better than mine.I am also pleasantly surprised that you took it with 60mm macro. I have imagined in my day-dreaming, what it would mean if I would take pictures with 60mm lens. It is perfect portrait focal length on APSC-format (450, 40, 50D).
Congrats on the 4th place.
Regards,
Vikram
P.S. I am just wondering how it would look in B+W. It should be wonderful! Message edited by author 2009-01-07 08:26:16. |
