The composition would have been dramatically improved if you had more of the subject's profile in this. It's dark but does not seem to convey any mood. Although you probably put a great deal of thought and effort into this, it just doesn't look like it to me. Sorry... :(

nice job, I'm just a bit confused about the layout you used. From the prespective we're seeing, it looks like the bear is climbing a hill, and also the major change in the background colour (could be different lighting, shaddow, mix of natural and un-natural light?) it's a bit distracting. A boost in brightness and contrast (accordingly) usualy fixes backdrop problems in photos like this! Hope i helped a bit
