Also known as Drosera sp. or sundew, I believe. This is a fine specimen. Nice to grow them in terrariums.

Overall, a very nice picture. The composition is great; the diagonal makes the shot much more interesting than if the water was parallel with an edge. To improve it (in my eyes): I think a couple of the shells on the beach may be a little blown out... Maybe a little dodging is in order? I would also see if you can sharpen the image up a touch, it looks a little soft to me.

It is on-camera flash, it was pretty dark as it was in the middle of a dense rainforest.

It is gooey, it is a jelly fungi, it is about the size of my little fingernail, and when it hasn't been wet for more than a few hours it shrivels up to the size of a pin prick, it was raining when this photo was taken.
