This was as close to a no-brainer 10 as it gets. The first time in ages that an image jumped out at me, grabbed me by the throat, and yelled, 'GIMME A 10!'

I'm just thrilled to have finally won a ribbon. Now my husband has to take me out to dinner - we made a deal over a year ago that if I ever won a ribbon he'd take me out for a fancy dinner. :) Thanks everyone who voted. I watched my score go up and up all week and thought maybe there was a reverse April fool's joke going on.

This place is seriously one of the most beautiful places in the world - I hardly feel right taking the credit for what nature did. All I had to do was click the shutter. :) I used to go camping at this little remote place all the time, but hadn't been there for several years. When I saw this contest pop up, I thought it would be the perfect place if the weather would just cooperate, so I hopped in my car and drove up there. I took lots of great shots that day, but I'm glad I chose this one as my final entry.
